Considering becoming a teacher in paradise? Whether you’re finishing college or working to get your teaching certificate in the Florida Keys, we will award you $5,000 to be used as you wish! Our goal is to help future Black Educators gain the necessary credits and to begin building a life in Monroe County.
But it gets better…
Accept a job in the Monroe County School District and you will automatically be accepted into our Teaching Fellowship, which will pay you an additional $30,000 over your first 3 years of teaching in the Florida Keys.

Currently living in the Florida Keys and considering a career change? You can qualify for this grant, but not the teaching fellowship.

 Purpose:  To encourage Black residents to accumulate higher education credits, enabling them to qualify to teach in Monroe County. 

Grant awards:  Up to $5,000 per year.

Must be enrolled in CFK or Monroe County Schools.
